In the first part of Vegas Travel Advice – Things Everyone Should know, I talked about why taking enough money to Vegas is extremely important and also why you need to plan out your trip in order to have the most fun and get in as much entertainment as possible. The thing I love about Vegas is that it isn’t just a city for adults anymore; it is a fun and exciting place for both adults and children.
If you didn’t get the chance to read the first part of this 2 part article then I recommend that you do that right now. Learning everything you need to know about Las Vegas is very important that way once you get there you won’t waste time or money. If you want to ensure that you have the most fun and save the most about of money then I suggest you combine the last 2 things of advice with the following 2.
1. Charge to your room – The first thing you realize when you are staying at a Las Vegas hotel is that everything you need or want can be charged to your room and after your entire stay you can pay for it. The thing I like about this is when you go to the pool you don’t have to take your wallet or purse, you just need to know your room number. It is like VIP service even when you are just a normal person.
Another thing I love about charging things to your room is that after you hit a certain dollar amount the hotel and the staff will start to comp you things such as upgraded rooms, longer stays, free meals and even free shows. I remember the last time I was in Vegas I was comped a free helicopter tour with a weekly limousine service and a front row seat to see Wayne Newton live. It get any better than that.
2. Eat at the buffet – Something that Las Vegas is known for is their .99 buffet, but even if you don’t go there you can always find a full buffet for under $5. This is a real savings since most of the buffets will allow each person to take a box of food back to the room if they can’t finish it. If you are tight on money and you want to keep all the money to yourself instead of spending it on high priced meals then a good buffet is always a thing to utilize. One of my favorite buffets is located at the Treasure Island, so if you have the time I recommend checking that one out.
Now that you know 4 of the most important things to know when traveling to Las Vegas I hope you can use them and have the time of your life. One of the most known sayings in Las Vegas is, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”, but when it comes to your money and the memories nothing should stay, it should all come back with you to enjoy at a later time.
